Double Strength Reduction Method for Slope Stability Analysis Based on Water Content Variation: A Study and Engineering Application

چکیده

Soil moisture content changes caused by rainfall and other factors can significantly affect slope stability potentially lead to geological disasters, such as landslides debris flows. However, conventional finite element methods for strength reduction do not consider the impact of water on stability. This paper examines classical reducing double coefficient then introduces a novel approach using in content. The new method is implemented through use an ABAQUS FE program’s USDFLD user-defined subroutine. concludes contrasting outcomes derived from limit equilibrium technique techniques verifying accuracy suggested theoretical numerical simulations. calculations evaluation Azhuoluo Chinese province Guizhou, Shuicheng county were performed utilizing platform’s subroutine based double-strength discounting method, response large landslide disaster region. results show that red clay, formed weathering basalt area, experiences asynchronous decay both friction angle cohesion increases, with higher rate internal compared cohesion. indicates traditional synchronously discount correspond reality, whereas this proposed changes, accurately reflects essential characteristics instability has clear physical meaning practical engineering applications.
